- His current Canadian Ranking is 2nd in both Men's and Junior Men's, and his current World Ranking is 6th with 3670 points in the World Cup standing and 5th on the FIS points with 900.
- He won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom at a World Cup tour event in Bayrischzell, Germany in 2009 and was the bronze medalist at the World Championships in Gangwon,South Korea
- He achieved a number of high-ranking finishes in the 2008 World Cup Series, including one gold and two bronze medals in the parallel GS. Matt also won a Gold medal in a 2007 World Cup Event.
